Brief Introduction of CGC Central-East Africa Branch

China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC) Central-East Africa Branch first started his business in Rwanda in 1999. Over the past 17 years, CGC Central-East Africa Branch has become one of the most important civil engineering contractors in Rwanda, Burundi and DR Congo, built up a good reputation among the governments and people, boosted the image of CGC in the region. In November 2013, with the approval of CGC Head office, CGC Central-East Africa Branch was formally established to represent CGC in charge of the marketing and business operation of Rwanda, Burundi and DR Congo.

CGC Central-East Africa Branch’s Head office is a well-developed plot of 25,000 m2 situated in Kigali, Rwanda, with multi-functional facilities of residence, offices, warehouses and garages. The main business lines of CGC Central-East Africa Branch are among others: Construction of Hydropower Plants, Electric Power Projects, Agricultural Irrigation Works, Water Supply, House Building and Road Projects.

For the last 17 years, CGC Central-East Africa Branch has successfully completed 20 projects in the region, and are currently executing 3 projects. Especially, in the field of Agricultural-Hydraulic works, the projects executed by CGC Central-East Africa may irrigate about 10,000 ha of farmland, which has played a significant role in supporting the sustainable development of Rwanda Agriculture and improvement on the livelihood of Rwandan people.

CGC Central-East Africa Branch is also one of the most pioneering Chinese companies undertaking water supply, hydro power and electric power projects in the three countries. With 9 large projects completed up to date, CGC Central-East Africa Branch has demonstrated his capabilities in implementing similar projects, and acquired sufficient experiences for being contracted with more and larger projects.
