On 7th November, 2017, CGC Central-East Africa Branch signed the Contract of Rehabilitation of Lovua-Tshikapa (56km) Road Project with Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works RD Congo. Hon. Minister of Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works, Project Coordinator and CGC’ Representatives attended the signing ceremony in Kinshasa.
The contract value is approximately USD 54 Million, financed by Africa Development Bank (ADB). The project consists of construction of 54km of asphalt concrete road, one bridge (160m wide) across Kaisai River, 9.2 km of streetlight in Tshikapa Town and etc. The project is expected to commence in January, 2018.
The contract is the first road project for CGC Central-East Africa Branch in Congo, which enlarges its business scope in addition to the traditional area of water supply and drainage, hydropower construction and Irrigation Projects.
